Meet me!

Hi there! I’m glad you’re interested in learning more about how to travel with knowledge and confidence. I certainly didn’t always have the skills to navigate the world all my myself. And I still learn something new with each journey.

I’ve been a freelance writer longer than I’ve been a traveler…although I was born with a yearning to explore the world. But first I had to raise my children and enjoy a career as a Registered Nurse. I still like to combine my medical background with travel to write articles about staying healthy and safe around the world.

Are you just starting to travel alone? Need advice or support for your next adventure? Looking for ideas or tips? You’ve come to the right place. I look to get others out and about.

My motto: “If I can do it, so can you!”

Women and solo travelers are the fastest growing markets for travel and tourism. Women tend to travel more often than men, taking a trip about every 10 months, compared to once a year for men. And 65% of women take trips without a companion or partner–plus they feel more confident when they travel alone!

Find out more about women solo travelers at my infographic.

My travel writing specialties are:

  • Health and Safety in travel
  • Women with wanderlust
  • Budget travel
  • Boomer and Senior travel

When I was 65, I walked the ancient 500-mile Camino de Santiago across northern Spain. It has been my best adventure so far. And I could do it, so can you! In fact, I wrote an ebook to help would-be “pilgrims” do the same: Follow the Yellow Arrows: Planning and Packing for the Camino de Santiago.

C’mon, let’s get started!
Bon Voyage!
